DIAGNOSES

Diagnoses We Treat

At Live Well, we understand how life-altering balance and dizziness conditions can be. Whether you are experiencing dizziness, imbalance, or motion sensitivity, we offer gentle, personalized care to help restore your sense of well-being. Listed below are the common vestibular dysfunctions we treat.

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo

BPPV causes brief and intense episodes of vertigo (spinning sensation) triggered by specific head movement, due to tiny crystals in the inner ear shifting out of place. With gentle, guided maneuvers, we help your body rebalance and alleviate symptoms.

Vestibular Neuritis & Labyrinthitis

These conditions involve inflammation of the inner ear or vestibular nerve often following a virus. This condition presents itself as a sudden onset of dizziness, imbalance and sometimes hearing changes. Through vestibular rehabilitation your nervous system can recover through gaze stability, balance training, and function movement.

Vestibular Hypofunction

A hypofunction can involve one or both ears. This is an imbalance of signals sent to the brain from the inner ears. This can lead to dizziness, unsteadiness, and visual disturbances. Vestibular rehabilitation will retrain the brain via gaze stability, balance training, and function movement.

Post Concussion Symptoms

After a concussion or head injury, lingering dizziness, imbalance, and visual disturbances can disrupt your sense of stability and mental clarity. At Live Well, together we create a supportive and calm environment to gently retrain your brain and body to work together again.

Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness

PPPD is chronic dizziness described as a sense of rocking or unsteadiness which is often worsened in busy environments, with movement, or visual stimuli. Through a mind-body approach that combines vestibular rehab, relaxation techniques, and sensory retraining we can help you find peace in motion again.

Cervicogenic Dizziness

Neck tension or injury can disrupt signals your body uses to maintain balance, leading to dizziness or a sense of disorientation. We focus on posture, alignment, and gentle neck mobility to reduce your symptoms.

Motion Sensitivity / Visual Vertigo

Busy environments, fast movement, or visual patterns can create dizziness. Through gradual exposure, balance retraining, and relaxation strategies, we help restore your confidence in various surroundings.

Vestibular Migraines

Vestibular migraines may include dizziness, light sensitivity, nausea, visual changes, and vertigo – with or without a headache. Through teamwork, we will work to identify triggers and reduce stress, and use vestibular rehab, intentional movement, and mindfulness to help reduce the frequency and intensity of migraine episodes.

General Imbalance

Instability or fear of falling from injury, neurological conditions, or aging can limit your quality of life. The combination of strength, coordination, and balance exercises will promote restoration of a sense of safety and balance.

If you feel you are ready to reduce your dizzy days, schedule today with Live Well Vestibular Therapy. If you are unsure if Vestibular Therapy is for you, book a free phone consultation today.
